VISTA M fine oak and limestone look
20 August 2026

L-shaped kitchen for VISTA M: fine oak, light fronts and limestone look — rails below, grip recesses on the tall unit.
Base units and tall unit in natural fine oak, wall units light and handleless. The grain adds warmth; the pale run above keeps the room bright.
L-shape in a VISTA M house: sink under the window, cooking on the long run, tall unit with the oven at eye level. Wall units go up to the ceiling.
Applied handle rails on drawers and doors of the base run, integrated grip recesses on the tall unit. Two ways to open, one calm front.
Worktop and splashback in limestone look, AEG induction and oven, slim extractor, BLANCO sink, LED under the wall units. Häcker concept130.
Result

Project overview
This kitchen was planned for the VISTA M house type by the DORNIEDEN Group. The room stays open to the living area; the kitchen sits as an L along the window wall and the long wall.
Base units and tall unit are natural fine oak. Above them, light handleless wall units run up to the ceiling. Worktop and splashback follow in limestone look — a calm band between wood and white.
Slim applied handle rails sit on the base run. On the tall unit you reach into integrated grip recesses. LED strips under the wall units pick out the worktop in the evening.
Planning concept
The L-shape splits the work clearly: the sink sits under the window, cooking on the long run, the oven in the tall unit at eye level. Walking distances stay short, and the centre of the room stays free.
The wall units go up to the ceiling — in a VISTA M layout, storage upwards counts. Next to the window, open light shelves keep daylight and the view outside from disappearing behind cupboard doors.
Drawers sit under the hob instead of cupboard doors. Pots stay in the cooking zone. The tall unit takes the oven without breaking the worktop.
Materials
Fronts of the base run and tall unit in natural fine oak, with vertical grain. The wall units are light, matt and handleless — they keep the kitchen bright without overpowering the oak.
The worktop runs through in limestone look and rises as a splashback up to the wall units. Sockets sit flat in the splashback. The floor is a light tile; together with the white walls the grey worktop stays warm rather than cool.
Applied metal-look handle rails sit on drawers and doors of the base run. On the tall unit the grips are vertical recesses — the same kitchen, two handle logics, matched to drawer and tall-unit door.
Carcass and fronts: Häcker kitchens, concept130.
Appliances & products
The hob is a black AEG induction field in the limestone worktop. Above it a slim extractor sits under the wall units — it stays in the run instead of hanging into the room as a chimney hood.
The AEG oven stands at eye level in the tall unit. Below and beside it, cupboard volume remains, without bending at the base run.
The sink sits under the window: white, with a slim chrome tap, BLANCO. Washing up in daylight, the niche in the same limestone look as the worktop.
LED light sits under the wall units. During the day the window keeps the run bright; in the evening the worktop stays lit without fittings stepping into view.
FAQ
Who is this project for?
For a VISTA M house or a similarly open new build where the kitchen should sit on the window and long wall — with wood grain, light wall units and storage up to the ceiling, without an island.
Which kitchen layout was chosen, and why?
An L-shaped kitchen. One leg washes under the window, the other cooks. The tall unit takes the oven. The centre stays free, the routes stay short.
What are the key material and appliance decisions?
Fine oak on the base run and tall unit, light handleless wall units, continuous limestone look. Handle rails on the drawers, grip recesses on the tall unit. AEG induction and oven, slim extractor, BLANCO sink, LED under the wall units.
